I bought a Warmoth Mustang bridge, because I needed the saddle height adjustments so I could match the radius of the Warmoth neck I installed. Now I'm getting a buzz from the bridge on certain strings, depending on how I adjust the bridge. The only thing I can figure out is it might have something to do with the sharp points on the ends of the bridge height adjustment screws. The original screws on the original bridge are kind of round.. nearly flat. I'm thinking of filing off those points, but I thought I'd ask if anyone else has had a problem like this.
As I type, I just realized that I can probably put the old screws in the new bridge to try it out before I do any filing. 😡
This may all be temporary anyway. My wife wants me to put the old worn neck back on the Mustang and just keep it as a vintage item, and buy a Jag body for the new neck and bridge. Still, I'd hate to build up a Jag and have the bridge buzz. 😠😆
