Mustang Neck Pocket

Hi everyone:

I'm new to this forum, and I have been browsing around the forum but I can't seem to find what I'm aftering. So, for those experts out there, please help me out on this question.

I want to build a Mustang with a new neck on a 64-66 body, but I remember reading from somewhere that the neck pocket on the old bodies are different. Is that true? Can someone give me the dimensions on the neck pocket? Does it have a rounded heel like the Strat or a square heel like the Tele?

If it's a new 24" neck intended for Fenders, then it'll be fine. The neck pocket issues you prolly heard about are the Warmoth necks, but they'll fit fine on your Mustang.

i dont specifically know, but i think that all fender/squiers other than teles have a strat neck route. (other than some niche guitars like the 51(im jealous rob))
