how to install tremolo bar

I know this may sound stupid but how do you fit the bar into the hole,I cant seem to push it in,I recently got a jaguar 62 reissue,I hope you can help me as I am new to all this,thanks

If it's an AVRI Jaguar, just push REALLY HARD (but carefully!) If it's CIJ, should fit relatively easily. If it's vintage, I dunno.
