i gotcha, my ideas come from complete lack of funds for anything like that. and at this point in my life i would rather have a guitar i can beat on and love and play, as opposed to an investment that will torment me that i cant play it... 😈😆

Not necessarily...I had a '64 Mustang in 100% original condition and I played it all the time. You just have to be careful with it.

I think perhaps that I'm on both sides of the coin, as it were. I believe that a vintage guitar in 100% original condition should be left alone, as it's an investment, however I also believe that an unplayable guitar is a useless guitar. Somewhere you have to find a happy balance between the two... *shrug*
