Allright, probably I'll go for a used one. The Japanese go for minimum 600 euros, the Americans for 1000. Haven't seen a lot used MIMs, but they'll cost about the same as the Japanese ones.
The 'advantage' the MIM maybe has, is it's mustang-like bridge, but actually I've never had a problem with the bridge of my AVRI. The disadvantage of the MIM imho are the hot pickups, though I haven't heard them, I really dig that thin-yet-full jaguar sound. All of my guitars have pretty low output pickups, they're lots more versatile in my opinion. So that's what's holding me back of the MIM: a pickupswap will bring me in the same pricerange of an AVRI.
I've heard a lot about the bad electronics of the jap. Also, the pickups would be very prone to feedback. So here too: pickup swap --> AVRI
So yeah, I'll probably go for the AVRI. I did some more research and all in all, 'buy nice and you won't buy twice'. And, black with tortoise shell looks classy 😀
