fender jaguar spring and plunger

i bought a mute plate off ebay not realizing it did not come with the spring and plunger, i have managed to get hold of the plunger but cant get hold of the spring anywhere!

is the spring a specialist part or may i already have it im my spare springs and screws without realizing it??

When I had the mute on my CIJ Jaguar, I used the spring from a Humbucker pickup for the plunger.

I made a plunger from a small plastic kitchen corner bracket. Filed it to a cylinder shape just smaller than the hole. There is thread buried on here somewhere showing how i did it.

Is it a CIJ model? If so you'll have to drill the body as well.
