pyranha I have a classic player Jaguar with single coils. I am looking to replace them with a set of stacked humbuckers and wanted to solicit some opinions about pickups that might be suitable. My intention is to use coil-tapable pickups to allow for a wider range of tone. I have seen a few Jags setup this way, most recently Brian Aubert's from the Silversun Pickups. I was looking at the Seymour Duncan JB Jr, Little '59, and Little Screamin Demon. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
DefBungis I have Seymour D 59's in now on a Jag HH. (humbuckers)A little to much on the mid's for my taste.I'm switching back to the stock originals.

coldwaraudio Why didnt you just buy the humbucker version and also single coils rule. Why change to hums?
Makungo I agree, i'm really not digging these HH Jags that are kicking round now.Single coils are the true way of the Jag.It's everyone to their own though!
GeorgeF I think everyone should have a twangy single-coil Fender guitar in their collection - if you're getting that from something else then why not try hums? It's not like the new RI's are an endangered species!
