Best all tube sound and versatility under 500$?

I'm lookin for a new amp in the next month or 2 so that's my budget and that's what I really want but I'm open to suggestions. Diy??

Anything used in the Fender Hot Rod Series. Any Traynor Combo amp. Epiphones combo amps, peavey's combo amps, marshalls, etc. They're all nice, but not boutique nice. It's all just about what style you play.

I play jazz and blues so headroom and "warmth" is that main thing I care about, I used stomp boxes for my effects so I don't need a lot of gadgets on my amp.

For what I play Fender has always been the best match.

fender does a great job on the cleans. shimmer, warmth, a fender amp will do it. the twin is incredible for shimmery nice cleans, and the tweed bassman is supposedly the ultimate for warm cleans. but just about any tube fender will excell.

I've played a few vintage tweed bassman's at Charley's before and the low end has always been a bit much for me. I do like the way they sound when you crank them though! But for what I like to here, Twins, Deluxes, and Super Reverbs work best.

Oh yeah and j2b4osan, you could also find some silver face twins and deluxe reverbs for around that price.

Ive been rockin the fenders for a while now but I find that I can only find like 1 or 2 nice tones on them(for my ears). the vintage fenders are cool but every one I see lately is like 700 more than it should be. Ill keep lookin. I played a peavy valve king I think it was that I kinda liked anyone have experience with one? the problem I have with most new amps is they seem to have a different definition for bass, mid and treble than I do so its hard for me to dial in.

I may have to just suffer and wait till I get enough money for a 5:25, I can dial in like 20 different tones 123 on that thing.

Im gonna read up on that 5w valve thread now

ok so i read the thread and I played all the amps mentioned and was unsatisfied.

I think its the waiting game for me

either waiting to find a subway rocket or saving up for a 5:25 or something similar.
