foxyloxy i want to know who think what sounds better mustang V. jaguar. buying a stang was my second option because i could not afford a jag BUT now that i own a stang i would find it hard to go to anything else. so what are you thoughts.
Fran Difficult to say because they are quite different. I think the Mustang is more comfortable but the Jags trem and looks are way better. The Jag is more pro as well imo. The Mustang was a student guitar and sometimes feels that way.
harrison when i bought my mustang i had gone to guitarcenter with the intention of playing and possibly buying a jaguar. i had my mind set on it and thought it was the guitar for me. but before i could pick it up i saw this little dakota red thing hanging on the wall. i picked it up and nearly couldnt put it down, i never even played the jag that day. i fell for the mustang, came back two weeks later once i had the cash together and bought that same mustang i had played that 1st day. i have since played multiple jags, CPs and AVRIs, but cannot beat the feel and love i have for my stang
Cymastar Mustang... I like the Jag, but I can't get enough of Mustangs / Mustang-shaped guitars. Everything about them is wonderful...
Robbmonster Like Fran said, difficult to compare because they are so different. The Jag was an upmarket model, the stang was a student model.That said, I prefer the stang. It's so much simpler, and I like the more rough and ready sound it offers
