going to pick up a slightly used fender twin tomorrow for 600,

and will be selling my mesa soon, soooo a jag will most likely be on the way!

experiences with the twin? good? bad ? ugly?!

Nice. I have little personal experience with the Twin, but Fender amps in general are ace. The only thing I know for sure about the Twin is that it's LOUD!

If you got the twin reverb then you've got one of, if not ,my favorite amp. It's what I've used for the last five years from jazz and blues, to hardrock and funk.

Did you get a silverface or blackface reissue?

You may want to get a rolling amp case for it though, they are very heavy!

its the 100 watt "twin amp" with the 1/4 power switch which seems pretty cool to me

i dont really know the difference between the twin reverb and the twin, but they both seem like really great amps.

its the blackface reissue and it comes with casters but a rolling case may be a better idea down the road. it was made in 92, and from what i read those reissues seem to be more popular than the newer ones. all in all im pretty happy with the price and the money i will make from the mesa will allow me to get the jag ive been GASing over for so long

Yeah those are cool cause they actually have a drive channel, and you can crank the hell out of it when it's in the low wattage mode.

Definitely might consider upgrading the transformers and upgrading the speakers, not that it won't sound great stock, just sweeter with the upgrades.

i definately am happy with it, and am running my effects through the effects loop. while i dont exactly know what it does it definately gives me a much clearer tone. i read about the upgrades you made a while back and will keep it in mind for down the road.

thanks pete, i really love this amp.

and funny thing about the mustang, your mustang project is the one that inspired me into doing it myself too, it was probably one of the first posts i ever read on jagstang! and the pictures are what convinced my grandfather that i wasnt gouging a hole into my guitar for nothing 😆
