Trem problem in japanese jaguar

Hello everybody!

I was having some problems with my mij jaguar, but since i installed the mustang bridge the guitar is almost flawless ! I also tried the trem lock, opening that piece where the strings start and trying to adjust the mechanism so that the trem arm wouldn't slide, but i couldn't. The first aproach was trying to attach the trem screw a little bit more, but since it didn't solve the problem i opened the guitar and i saw that there is not enough surface in the hardware piece to avoid the trem arm to slide away. So now i am thinking about adding something to do the trem lock or replacing that piece. Is it possible to replace it? Is the american jaguar trem different from the japananese one?

thanks, but i don't consider taping a valid solution lol unless you mean to use tape inside the trem plate or something 😛

If i could sort it out by myself i wouldn't be asking. I just think the answer was kinda vague, just that, but thanks for answering 😀

it was fairly vague, but think about it, your trem arm is falling out

because the hole you put it in doesnt clamp the trem arm or grab it. and also the hole must not be tight anuff.

so if i say tape it up , i would think it would be fairly easy to figure out what i ment.

I don't think he means the arm, he's talking about the lock button not sliding all the way over I think.
