Duo-sonic mod advice

So I'm adding a couple of slide switches to my Duo. One to split my bucker and one to knock the pups out of phase. I figured if I'm putting two on I might as well use a Jag switch plate for cool factor.

It would looks something like this:

Now my question is if switch 1 is coils split and switch 3 is out of phase... what do I make switch 2? Just leave it as a dummy switch (no purpose)? A kill switch maybe (I have no idea how to wire a kill switch)?

Any advice is appreciated. Or if you think I should just install the switches without plate and leave them be, let me know.

make it series/parallel, so the single coil goes in series w/the humbucker making fatness, loudness, and awesomeness

Can't find the wiring for that on the SD site. Anyone know how to wire a single coil for series/parralel?

yea, same way as a humbucker series/parralel, but so that the hot of the grounded coil goes to the switch, not to the other coils' hot

Yeah... I'm mondo retardo when it comes to wiring. I pretty much wire by picture, so that made no sense to me.

The kill switch however seems pretty damn easy. Maybe I'll just wire it as such until I actually learn what all those wires under my pickguard are for so I don't blow up my pickups. lol.

I have a silly suggestion...

Make two of the switches on/off switches for the pickups, then use the current selector switch for phasing options. Or swap out the current selector and install a two-way. Dunno.

Personally, I'd be a bit funny about having a switch that doesn't do anything. The coil tap on my 51 doesn't work, so the push/pull volume knob is also serving as a killswitch.

Ooooh. Very Tom Morello / Buckethead. I'm thinking I'm gonna wire my Jagmaster up like a Super Sonic. 2 Volumes + Pickup Switch. Maybe a white pickguard if I can afford it one day.
