Ask for some opinions on the pickups

I want to change a set of Duncan Hotrails on my jaguar 62 USA ressiue.

is it a choice for playing hard rock??

and if i want to have a sweeter neck sound, should i place a little 59 on the neck position instead??

and i had heard others said the clean tone of the Hotrails in fact is no good, it need to add a switch to made it switch to single coil mode to having a better clean tone

is it real??

I can tell you that the hotrails really are not meant for a clean tone they are simply to good at what they do... being loud, hot and noisey. However if you install a coil split on them, you end up with a very nice mild mannered pickup. It's got sort of a strat sound with a heavy low end. It's still no where near your normally brite and twangy Fender sound, but it's much more manageable clean than untapped and has the bennefit of allowing you to untap it when you want some grit and not having to buy a new pickup.

I have my Jag. wired with a JB Jr. in the bridge and a Lil' 59 in the neck and i really like the sound i get.

I wouldnt really recomend using a hot rails if your looking for a good clean sound

but you could try the SD Cool Rails, and maybe coil split that.

But i would recomend the JB Jr. - Lil 59.

Now I would like to place a little 59 on neck and Hotrails on bridge

and install a coil spilt for the Hotrails.

Is it a choice that if i would play the Hardrock stuff to the Metal stuff?

(such as GN'R, Metallica etc.) and also can obtain a comparatively better clean tone??

Yes, I think that setup will sound great in the hard rock to metal range, and with the coil split you'll get a decent clean tone.

Not to make things terribly complicated, but I would coil split both the hotrails and the little 59 for even greater versatility.

the guitar store here only have the Hotrail which written "for Strat" on the box,

Are there any other versions for jaguar or just use the same one with strat is ok??

One way to get a better clean tone that's really cheap is to put a higher value Treble bleed cap on the Lead volume knob. I did this to my Jag-Stang to offset the thick and powerful EMG pickups so I could get a thinner, lower gain, twangier sound by using the volume knob. The lower I go, the thinner the sound and less gain I have. With that guitar I could use a single channel Marshall and get all my cleans by turning the volume down.
