Question involving pickguard

the jazzmaster pickups are huge, and thus so are the holes in the guard. my question is, would a hummbucker ring fit over the holes in the guard? im alright with a little bit of a gap i just want them to be able to sit on top, this would save me from having to buy a custom guard if i went the route of a jazzblaster build. any help is appreciated

I'm 99% sure thyey wont, but humbuckers will fit under the original Jazzy pup covers if that is any use to you?

thanks fran, it may be of some use later down the road if i decide for jazz neck and bridge hummy and i can just hide it under there to keep it balanced aesthetically
