Bought 2 new pickups for my Jagmaster, a Squier 51 neck pickup, and a cheap Ibanez or Schecter PAF copy.
The 51 pickup is going to be a middle pickup, and the PAF is going into the bridge.
Then I replace the pickup selector switch with a 5-way rotary switch (or 3-way if that's all I can find, since I don't use the in-between positions anyway), and then I hopefully will have a guitar I am happier with.
Oh, the 51 pickup was USD $12.50, and the PAF was USD $7.99. If the PAF ends up sounding awful, I will cut my losses and spend a bit more to get a better-quality SD or GFS.
