Ovation had another model similar to that called the Deacon, which used much the same hardware as the pastor, but was roughly shaped like a battle Axe, and there was a cheaper version of the Deacon known as the Breadwinner, which also came in a limited version, which was essentially a chopped down Deacon, kind of like how Fender chopped down a Musicmaster and called it the Swinger/Arrow.

The only celebrity I ever heard of who played one of these was the keyboard player in The Cars, Greg Hawkes, they used to bring it out for a song called "Take What You Want". From what I hear, those Ovation guitars are quite underrated.
