we did hijack your thread a bit, in the area of jaguars you have 3 or 4 options. one being the most expensive and vintage spec'd is the AVRI, its going for just under $2000 usd, with hsc.nitro paint job and all the vintage looks you can find.
the 2nd option being to find an old cij/mij, they go out every once in a while on the bay and can range from $600-$800 depending on if you get lucky. the cij/mijs are quality guitars and are well built but people often have issues with the pickups and change them.they also have vintage spec'd necks. another high point here is the idea that modding is pretty well acceptable as opposed to moding vintage or AVRI.
3rd is the classic player HH and Single coil. they both feature a more "modern" 9.5 in radius and TOM bridges. as well as a modified tremolo system (involving moving the trem a bit closer to the bridge). they are going for about $1,100. and while the build quality feels nice some people frown on them being MIM, as well as the strange electronics including a killswitch and modified rythmm circuit on the HH
4th, option is the Jag HH special. it has two fender humbuckers and a stop tailpiece making it substantially different than a vintage jag. this one also features a TOM and the 9.5 radius, in spite of these changes it still plays like a jag, and felt more solid in my hands than the MIMs as this one is MIJ. they retail new for $889, making them the most inexpensive of the current jaguars.
the jagmaster is also an option but does not share much with the jaguar except for the shape and scale.
