That's a 5-way switch, so it actually provides all the sonic possibilities of an Esquire (and that's a LOT of possibilities... I've played an Esquire)...

Different tonal options... Changes it from one circuit to another, with different caps and such in between.

i think there is a pickup under the pickguard. Its a guess.

Or for tone pot cuts and a variety of tonal potions.

Absolutely gorgeous.

I had an idea of putting a Tele neck on my Jagmaster for a short time.

Good to know what it looks like.

Its one of those things that make me wish Fende showed a bit more imagination from time to time. I was staring at an Ibanez Jet King yesterday, and I was thinking that is the sort of guitar Fender should be making.
