Swineshead Pickups

Im looking for new humbuckers for my jag hh. The Swinesheads look pretty good, but i dont have all that much experience with pickups... 😉

I want something a littlle bit hotter, but still within range of not piercing to not muddy. Swinesheads have all good reviews, and come in wood, which is nice.

Im going from my jag hh to a fender frontman 212 and i need more snap. Check it? 😡

Most people use either Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio though I like Lace pickups

oh and GFS have good reviews and are pretty cheap, im assuming youre in the UK so might not be so cheap after shipping etc but something to consider

I was checkin out some of the duncans' and dimarzios' descriptions and they seem a little bit cooler, but ive never heard of lace. ill have to check them out.

I mean, i could check out a swineshead and see if i like it, which is probably whats gonna end up happening. But $$$!

So i effectively used the search function because i was wondering about bare knuckle pick ups. Anyone have any experience with them or know anything about them? I am going to be honest, i love the logo of the dude standing there all old school with his fists ready. Probably not the right way to choose a pick up but i want something different.

I have experience with both Swineshead and Bare Knuckle.

One of my friends has a Swineshead Condor in the neck position on one of his guitars, very Peter Green-sounding, nice pickup. He had a coilsplit on it as well but it's not a very high output pickup so in single coil mode it was quite weak and thin.

I myself have a Bare Knuckle Riffraff in the bridge of my SG, which is a FANTASTIC pickup, really aggressive for a vintage-style humbucker, although I plan on swapping both that and the Lace gold/gold Dually pickup in the neck out soon for a matched pair of Bare Knuckle Holydivers because I needs moar output.

Either one is a viable option in my eyes, although it depends entirely on what you're after.

To give you a proper idea of how good they are, just look at the list of players who use them. Johnny Marr, Gary Moore, Steve Howe, Matt Bellamy, etc etc etc...
