i ordinarily play on like 10 guage and ive heard that putting 11s on a MIJ jag will help with the tension of the strings. Tremolo picking has become impossible due to the spaghetti-like feeling of the strings from a picking point of view. ☹
I fell on my left fore and middle fingers this last week playing football and theyre a little bit messed up (temporarily). I would ordinarily switch to 11s but putting more tension on my left probably isnt the best idea. Not playing really isnt an option right now. 😕
Would switching for a mustang bridge help? Im kind of stupid; i dopnt know how the radii compare or anything like that, and i figure solving this problem now will save me the time (although i admit, it would be a neglectible amount of time) that i would spend getting used to 11 gauge. I've also been checkin out the buzz stop, and im not sure if this would make a difference.
I was talking to a guy in guitarcenter about this stuff and he was saying all this stuff that made me go 😲 so i just played along. There was no chance of me understanding in the 15 minutes that i could spend there.
If anybody has a solution to this, please let me know! And if anybody has the same problem, let me know also and i will let you know if i find a solution. Thanks!
