jaguar change pu need to dig the depth of pu space???

Recently i had bought a little 59 neck and hotrail bridge for my usa vintage 62 jaguar,

i took it to a man to help me to change but he told me that it must need to dig the depth of the pu space otherwise the 2 pu can't install to the jaguar......

I want to know is it really need to dig the pu space????

mad-mike might know more about this, but i believe you can cut the plastic bobbin on the hotrail to fit the jags pickup route. im not sure about the shape of the lil 59 though. as for the depth of the cavities i doubt you would need to go deeper

Did he try removing the foam at the bottom of the cavity? It sponges up to help you set your pup height, if you replace it with something like cotton wool or a thinner piece of foam it should work. Tell him we said he's gay.

As for triangular pups you can cut of the plastic point with a craft knife.
