Numbness...

I've got some numbness in my pinkie finger on my fretting hand and been playing the guitar lots in the last few days. Do you think it's from rockin out too hard or not?

Anyone else experienced this problem?

I've had that happen before. Don't worry about it, but maybe you should consider playing less or checking to see if your hand positions are all as they should be. You don't want to end up straining it badly.

ah, don't say things like that. but you hear it all the time, don't you? "oh he said he couldn't feel his hand when he put it in his back pocket. then six month later he were dead". kind of thing

everyone that asks me a medical question gets the answer "it could be a braind tumour. you better go see your gp" or words to that effect.

haha. one of my friends got a saturday night palsy (google it). i told him it could be a brain tumour and then told him it was really a saturday night palsy. he was ####ting himself for about 2 months 9 (how long it took to see a gp and get referred to an orthopod, have tests and get results). anyway, he got the use of his arm back after 6 months and then asked for his jazzy back. bastard.

I get that sometimes after a succession of gigs - thought of suing my dad for repetitive strain injury, he taught me my first chords after all.

I took a break from playing the last week, with exams coming up. My mate left his electric acoustic here last nite and I've been playing it today, my fingers are stuffed!

Hmm i noticed when my hands are very cold, and usually if its my first time playing that day i am very sluggish across the fretboard. It usually takes about 15 mins or so to warm my hands up.

my huge ass hands can easily do that on my Gibson 12 string...sounds like you need "A" width necks

You don't know #### about huge hands until you've seen my mom, but luckily I got her ridiculous boney hands, which are fantastic for guitaring.
