Illustrated book of guitars Nick Freeth

Hello everyone, just wanted post what i read in this book, on guitars. As always any guitar book i check to see if the Jag-Stang is accounted for, and in this book, the jag-stang is noted for its charm and versatility, and is used by various players including the author of the book, and his fiesta red jag stang is pictured. It is a very nice book, and i would highly recommend it if you love guitars as i do. I own a 1996 50th aniv, sonic blue jag stang.

I host open mics and this guitar is used heavily, i love the stock pick-ups, as for now the guitar is all original exept for the volume and tone knobs, and the strings (Ernie Ball Custom 11's) I was offered to play for the morning show on a local news channel, and the jag stang was the first ever electric to be played and aired at there studio.

I have learned alot of info on set up from this site, Thanks to all who continue this site!!!!!!!! Can we post videos on this site? If so i would love to post my first ever telivision apperance with my beloved Jag-Stang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have that... It's poorly edited. In mine, you have the Stratocaster HLE listed twice, images are upside down and backwards, pictures are fuzzy or pixel-y... Terribly edited.

That's not how it is in mine maybe you got a really really bad copy.

Can't be worse than the Illustrated Directory of Guitars by Ray Bonds, while the pictures are great, and there is a long history listed, the problem with that book is that the editing of details is awful. Like they listed the Jaguar as an improvement upon the Jaguar (hmm, if it's the first release of that model, how can it be an "improvement" upon the model it already is?), and the photograph they have of a "1962 Fender Jaguar" for some reason nags to me that it's a Japanese reissue. They also made the classic mistake of calling the strangle switch a "phase switch".

I recall some other mistakes, though don't quote me on this because I might have the guitars wrong, like they were listing that the Esquire has a single pickup in the NECK POSITION.....uhh the Esquire has a single pickup in the BRIDGE POSITION not the NECK. Also, they had a photograph of a left handed Jag-Stang with a black JB in the bridge and cut-off switches, and possibly may have cited it as a "stock example"....I'm not totally sure though, but those were the kind of errors that I found everywhere, especially when it comes to the Fender guitars.
