I knew about the japanese colors of White, Metallic blue, and Sunburst (Tobacco burst?). I had not seen a dark CAR HH and there was no listing of it on the japanese websites or the japan auction sites (Hint yahoo auctions japan is huge - so big it put ebay out of business in japan).
As for reliable fender on ebay (the stratosphere), I don't really agree with parting out new guitars to make money, and I think his prices are pretty rediculous, but he was able to hook me up with a new FENDER neck for my CIJ mustang when the old one split. All that Allparts could do was get me a "similar" neck without the decals. I still feel kinda raped on the price but I guess you pay a premium if you want tor fender to be all fender. It is such a shame that he parts out so many dam guitars though.
Also I don't know what refinishers pay in your area but in New York City it is actually cheaper for me to buy a new body with paint from him than it is to get a guitar resprayed (this is with me doing the reassembly). I was getting quotes to respray my jagstang between $500 and $600 from pro painters (about the same it costs me to do motorcycle tanks).
