VOX AC15CC1(or what ever its called (the new one)

i am thinking about getting an ac15, but only if its a smaller ac30. any one played one, thoughts?

Well if you do thats fine. I'm just saying that vox sounds sort of dull and weird to me

When you think of Brian Mays sound you gotta want a Vox.

it played it a while ago, but wasn't able to crank up, and had a poor ear at the time. i remember loving it though.

I find it hard to get his tone with vox. Just like I'd find it hard to get dave mustaine's tone with his guitars or van halen's tone with an EVH 5150

In my experience with Vox they are quality amps although I've never used an ac15.

Its good built amp - very nice sounds - especially the version with Alnico Blue Speaker; I stick to Vox amps, the sound is irreplaceable...

I use CC1 (no alnico blues) and I'm satisfied (occasionally live/in studio I add & bass preamp &1x15 cab for more bottom)- When I say Vox, I mean Adam Franklin(Swervedriver)&Thurston Moore tone - effect heavy, but still kinda rock - I'm definitely not into Queen/U2 sounds...

that is the sound i am going for, ima have to go play one.

Yeah, played an AC30 66 handwired reissue or some ####
