1meg pots are way to harsh and bright for the distortion i'm running now. I use a Rat 2 turned way down for just a sligth amount of distortion, it gives me a kinks, beatles, CCR, velvet underground kind of distortion texture that suits the "sound scape" i like. But also the trebel on that setting is greater than the guitars clean sound.
I used to have a strat the came with stock 250k pots that gave a perfect distortion texture but i didn't care for the sound in the guitar it self, with the jaguar i find it too bright but love the inherent sound in the guitar. So a 250k pot sett should fix this, also the pots on the CIJ are cheap mini-pots.
So what are the corect size pots to buy for a fit in the CIJ jag?
