very good quality overall, but I don't know if that worths $3000

one thing wierd about it is that it doesn't have the dates on the neck nor the body

or did it decolorize

It's a decent price for one in that condition. Just note the

"****WE ACCEPT ALL CREDIT CARDS!***" thing. And I believe i've seen that up for auction before. There is some more on there, just look for Paypal.

Well it looks clean (apart from the odd stain on the back 😕 ), I'd think that's what you'd pay for a vintage Fender these days...

I say try find one with a matching headstock though 😉

According to what I have read, matching headstocks may have stopped mid 1971. No date stamp on the neck is odd.

yeah I noticed that the stamp was missing too.

I found another one for a similar price. date stamps marked as 72', and non-matching headstock.

I requested the seller to put this one up because I couldn't find an original, I was like

'fu*k it, I'm gonna trust the japanese'

I was thinking of getting that, and removing the BECK decal from the headstock. I don't know how to remove it though

but now that I found original for $3000, and I also have the option to make one from Warmoth, I don't know what to do...

if there's a difference of the tone between the japanese-made and the original, I'd go for the original, but if not, I'll go for the reissue

Your not gonna know the difference, Just put tape over the Beck decal and it should come off. And what's with you and orange comps? Nothing wrong with it, just you would do almost anything for one.

does the decal come off that easly? is the japanese decal put on top of the coting? I never knew

about 3 years ago, I bought a single cut PRS with purple transparent body. I liked the sound of it, so I bought without choosing the color which didn't work for me. after that, I'm trying to get the right guitar with the right color. I still hate and love my PRS at the same time

They usually do, if not, just put a sticker you like over it.

No, the decals on Japanese Mustangs are well and truly underneath the laquer...

But re-issue Mustangs are indeed VERY good. Nothing wrong with them at all. In fact, my own reissue is one of the nicest guitars I've ever played 😀
