Jag/jazz Master Neck Swap?

I want to get a Jazz Master but in order to make the guitar work for my current band set up I have to do some heavy modding to the body like routing in a bass pick up, knobs, and output. Since I'm not crazy about doing this to a $700-$1000 dollar guitar I was wondering will a Jazz Master neck fit into a newer made in China JagMaster body?

Or even a nice Strat neck, I just hate the feel of the cheap squiers.

If I understand correctly as long as its a 25.5" scale neck and the pocket measurements match I should be good right? anything else I should look out for?

Has anyone done this? if so post some pics I'd love to see em.

yes the strat/jazzmaster neck should work with the newer jagmasters, their body is 25.5" scale its just the conversion neck which turns them into 24"

Well, I went out yesterday and played some Jags and Jazzes at the various local retailers and I think I'm just going to buy a full one and hack it up. Screw the Jagmaster idea.

I found a new MIM Jazz (sunburst) that was on sale for $600

and then I found a very used CIJ Jag HH (black) for $600

Weighin out the pros and cons I'd say they were about equal.

I am a bit confused... If you put a jazzmaster neck ( 25.5 scale lenght) into a Jagmaster ( Originally 24 scale lenght) .... The jagmaster would be 25.5 scale lenght?? 😕😕

the jag-master body is 25.5", the neck is a conversion neck, which is slightly shorter, but has a scale length of 24" when on a 25.5" scaled body. done by squier to save money.
