tohknee I recently installed a humbucker into my mustang and now it seems that there is something wrong with both the volume and tone pots. The tone pot seems to do nothing and the volume output has greatly decreased. I have checked wiring and it looks normal. The capicator is connected to the tone pot and tone pot to the volume pot. Can anyone give me any insight on what the problem is?

Can anyone give me any insight on what the problem is?my guess would be bad soder joint somewhere. Make sure you have all wires to the hum.going where they need to.
tohknee I resoldered the ground wires that are connected to the sheilding and now the tone seems to work, but the pot seems to work in reverse. When I turn it down the tone starts to kick in, but when I turn it up the tone goes away.
tohknee I was wrong about the tone pot. It still does nothing, but when you turn it up all the way up the volume cuts out a little. Is this a problem with the pots or the wiring? I have triple checked the wiring and everything is where it should be.
tohknee I used the wiring diagram from this topic viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17464&hilit=wiring . I checked the seymour duncan to check that I had put the right colored wires in the right spot. Everything is wired correctly. I think I am going to try installing new pots and a new capacitor and see if the helps.
