for my dd-7, the only setting i come back to is the looper like this:
set up so the loop goes into one channel of my bassman, and the dry signal another. (4 inputs, 2 per channel) first, record crazy awesome synth like bass line (on guitar). usually in harmonic minor, hungarian minor, or just a chromatic scale. then, unplug the guitar, and plug it into the second input of the loop channel. max the level. this effectively straps the channels, because the loop is going from the output to one channel, then back into the input and to another channel. then hit record again and dont do anything for 5 minutes. result - crazy awesome synth tones, with stupid amounts of distortion and enormous subs. then #### with the knobs on the amp. just a huge slice of win pie. then i can plug the guitar back in, roll down the loop volume allot, and jam over it. the one i as working on today was:

no sense of timing above, but it wins. its in hungarian minor by the way. then tremolo pick tuneless nonsense over it, and its fun for hours (literally)
