Switching system problem.

Hi eveybody! I'm new to this forum. One month ago I bought a brand new Fender Jaguar American Vintage 62 from a local dealer in Italy. As soon I took the guitar out and started playing it I realised the switching system wasn't working properly. The bridge pickup plus the strangle switch didn't work at all ( I couldn't hear any sound from the pickups). After a while everything started working. I thought the problem was totally gone but unfortunately it came back. Why does that happen even after they polished the inside of the switching system? Did any of you have the same problem?

no, my jaguar was fine. perhaps you were just unlucky and got a duffer? have you checked all the soldering points? or maybe it's the switches themselves that have bad contacts...

also, you should have taken it back to the shop, soon as. is it still under warranty?

Yeah, it should be still under warranty. I'll bring it back to the shop tomorrow and see if they can take one more look at it. Thanx a lot for the reply!!!!

Are you sure it's not just switched to the rhythm curcuit?

Haha, that would be pretty funny if that's what is was.

That sorta happened to me when I got an amp with reverb once. I didn't think the reverb was working so I took it back, but it turns out the reverb on that amp (Laney Linebacker 50W Combo) is really subtle, even when up full. I thought it would be all echo-ie.

No 😀 I'm totally sure it is not because of that. It actually restarted working yesterday but the problem came back anyway. It really drives me crazy. I hope someone will fix it as soon as possible.

I brought it back to the shop just today. They will replace the switch and fortunately I won't pay for it! Thanx to everyone for the attention and moral support 😀
