thinking of installing an lsr roller nut, need sum advice

hi, i've recently added a bigsby trem to my Jaguar HH and was thinking of adding a roller nut to help keep it in tune, i've had a read through a few forums and the fender LSR seems to be quite popular but i don't know if it will take 11 gauge strings or if they are difficult to install, i've also read that they can make the sound a bit tinny. if anyone can offer any advise i would be most gratefull 😁

I'd just go for a graphite one. Stewmac do great nuts. And what you really need is a roller bridge - thats what really will make a difference.

thanx dude, any idea which roller bridge to go for, i have an adjustomatic bridge at the mo and realy like how simple it is to adjust.

Not at all. They are all very high quality

ordered the schaller tunematic roller bridge so should be arriving soon 😁 , also ordered Fender/Schaller Am Locking tuners/machine heads in Chrome to help keep the thing in tune.

i know i know, but i'd rather have that 000000000000.1% plus thats wot happens with getting stuff off the web,if i don't physically hand the money over and see it being spent it doesn't seem like i've spent it.

I've actually heard really good things about the lsr roller nuts, bad thing is I think you can only use lower gauge strings with em. I think up to .009 or .010.

They are awesome, its just that you have to chop up your headstock to fit them

i don't wanna drop a string size, 11's sound jus right for me and i don't really wanna have to cut up the neck, the new machines heads i got were a different size to the old ones and i had a right ordeal gerrin them fitted.

I'm thinking of changing the humbuckers as well, any idea wot wud sound good, I've been looking at Seymour Duncan SH-12 Custom George Lynch Screamin Demon Bridge Humbucker and Seymour Duncan SH-PG1 Pearly Gates Humbucker for the neck would these fit and are they any good? (i don't know much bout pickups so my choices are based on wot costs more and how they look 😁 )

finally got the roller bridge after a month of waiting and several emails and to be honest i didn't really like it...the sound i get from the tune o matic /adjust o matic (whichever it is) is a lot clearer and even if it does mean i get through a few more strings then thats fine, i'd rather do that and have a nicer sound. i did get a dimarzio paf and seymour duncan screamin demon tho which has really altered the sound for the better 😁
