Don't warmouth do contoured bound bodied strats, they're pretty cool, but they come in much more tastefull colours than that SRV.
And yeah, Icey, sustain isn't the be all and end all of a good guitar. And there's more advantages to bolt on than just price, for example, adjustability, or, you can remove the neck for portability and shipping. Fender make some guitars (for example the '72 thinline tele) with a three-bolt tilt adjustable neck!
