62 ri vs classic players jazzmaster..

whats the difference between the two? and how come the 62 RI isnt on the fender website?

This is what i know:

Classic Player's are made in mexico, American Vintage Reissue's are made in USA, normal Reissue Jazzmasters are made in Japan.

The Classic Player's pups are a bit hotter then those of a normal Jazzmaster.

Not much but it's something............. 😡

the 62 ri also has "strat" pickups which aparently give it more of a jangly/stratty/jaggy tone than a jazzmaster. . .

also the tremolo is closer to the neck. . .

who doesnt want a jazzmaster! theyre soo cool. . played one a week or so ago. . was pretty awesome!

I was thinking of buying one of these but I thought the JM american vintage had it's own special pick ups?

I don't want a stratty sound that's for sure.

Could anyone elaborate?

The CP series are MIM vs MIA, they have totally different hotter pickups, the trem is closer to the bridge, and the bridge is a tune-o-matic. They also have a flatter fingerboard radius and larger frets. Quite different guitars.
