I've never played an electric with a neck made of anything other than maple.
But if we are talking fingerboards, I don't believe it makes a difference to sound (why would it?), so it's pretty much cosmetic for me, and as Pete said, it all depends on the model and colour of the guitar.
But, to give a straight answer, I generally prefer the look of maple instead of rosewood. But rosewood ages better.
