hi all

I'm VERY close to buying a reissue USA jaguar now (ive found one at a great price) but I have concerns over how it sounds...

I'm really into playing indie and rock music, stuff like the libertines and over stuff like the cure

I played the guitar at a shop, but not for a great deal of time. I noticed the twanginess, but can this be toned down in order to match the style of music I want to play? I found it easy enough to play, but obviously was unable to master all of its tones

If you want less 'jangle' then a mustang bridge is an option

If you have a good tube distortion, the twang should go away.

I've played heavy metal on one hell of a twangy tele.

jaguars because of the single coils.. . tend to be slightly jangley, but a good amp can "unjangle" it 😛
