irish_punk13 ok i decided too put pickup rings around my pickups and when i took off the pickgaurd i noticed that there is enough space in there too install another humbucker.so my question is whats a good ''bucker too go in the middle position on my jag.oh and i need a sound somewhere between soundgarden and nirvana and i play through a 1980s peavey. i beleive the model name is tnt 100 i dont know thats what it says on the front of the amp.well thanx in advance.
funtoosh you already have two humbuckers in there, so why not put a hot single coil/p90 (e.g. the SD phat cat) in between?and welcome to the forum ,-}

jacksonjackass ❗Acoustic overtones as you've put it is caused by the swimming pool route. It makes the pickguard act like a soundboard on an acoustic guitar 😉The only thing you can do is glue a piece of wood it to stop it from vibrating

Robbmonster I wasn't happy with my Jagmaster, so I am putting a Squier 51 neck pickup (single coil) in the middle, and swapping out the bridge pickup for one from a Tele Deluxe.Drop a PAF copy in there, leave it wide open, and voila, tonal variation.
