Hello,
Just got my jag-stang and I really like how prone it is to feedback 😁 Anyway last night I replaced the small (probably 9's) set of strings the store put on with my usual size (i play a strat mainly) of 11-50. I immediately noticed with the shorter scale neck and the fatter strings the tension is MUCH greater than before. I have always been a fan of fat strings, stevie knows best 😉 , but I think with my new Jag - Stang I'm gonna try and keep the strings a little smaller. It gives it a more distinguished sound from my strat if the strings are different...and to be honest the bigger strings just don't feel right with the wee little jag-stang.
What are your thoughts? anyone had luck with fat strings on the JS, and if so how is the tremolo working out for you? I am pretty sure the fatter strings make the bar harder to push and pull.
Cheers,
DG
