I guess the new thing is calling your ordinary guitar some sort of rare edition and raising the price to a high ass amount. This guitar should be in the $500-$600 range, but because it's "Crafted In Japan" like most Mustangs of it's era, it's some sorta rare guitar messiah with incredible quality. It's #### bull####.

This is a 1996 Crafted in Japan Fender Mustang Competition 1969 Reissue. This is not a Made in Japan common Mustang. This is a very hard to find limited run of the reissued Mustang, many guitar enthusiasts are searching for the Crafted in Japan guitars for the superior workmanship and high quality sound. The Lake Placid Blue color was an extrememly limited run body color, and very few made it out of Japan. This guitar has all of the classic Mustang features, including the sonic blue competition stripe, twin Mustang pickups with their own switches for individual on and off and in/out phase. The competition series is no longer being made. It is in perfect playing condition. All original parts. Comes with gig bag. It is used but in fantastic condition. There are some minor dings and scratches but nothing major at all. It is still very much a beautiful looking guitar.
