Newbie Needing to Sell My Guitar

I got my CIJ Jaguar (A08726) in probably 2003 or so. Loved it at the time and had a lot of sentimental value, but I'm ready to move on, as I hardly ever play it any more - have

I can't find the specs on this anywhere and don't really know what to ask for it. It was made in the late 90s, candy apple red (not fiesta, I don't think) w/ matching headstock.

Let me know if pics would help. I'm not much of a gearhead at all and just play casually. I don't want to ask too low of a price, but also don't want to rip anyone off or come off presumptuous by asking too much.

I think I paid $400-$450...it's in good shape, as it was hardly used and I never played out with it. Do you think asking $600 is presumptuous?

if its in good condition, you could probably get more. the price new is almost 2 grand now, so if it's mint, you could probably get at least 1000

You sure about that? It's not any special edition or anything, as far as I know. Will try to post pics later. (Not that I couldn't use $1K!) 😀

Yeah, $1,000 is pretty good.

The used guitar market is funny at the moment. Buying secondhand, cheper guitars are fetching less than usual, while higher-end guitars are fetching a bit more than usual.

Yours is a higher-end guitar, so you should be just fine 😁

Yeah, that's what I was thinking...I listed it for $1200 though and someone asked for pics...I still feel like $1K is a bit high???

Will try to check out price guides at the library tonight if they're open when I get off work.
