#### fender's recommendations. the higher you adjust it, the louder it gets, and the more full frequency sound you get (ie brighter like panda said). this is because the magnetic field is absorbing energy from more of the string at higher levels. because of this, it picks up harmonic complexities that it would miss at lower adjustments. i almost always have my pickups adjusted very high, unless they aren't mixing well. also, i recommend adjusting the bass side much lower than the treble side. just mess with it to get an idea of the sound changes, that will be more effective than us trying to describe it to you. also, i'm assuming this is an ri?
