my friend is giving me some crapp strat copy. .

i want to literally kill it. . yet make it cool and playable at the same time 😛

any ideas? pics are good!

i kinda want to paint it yellow.. . . what would i need to do that?

also, how do you think it wld be routed? someone was telling me it shld be routed for humbuckers cos most our (his sh1tty strat was and his mates squier was). sounds like bs to me. . . hopefully it will be a swimming pool route (Y)

I would just throw some nice single coils in there (im a single coil guy though). as for painting you could just get some spray paint and sand the guit with like 150 grit or higher and spray. the guit rout should accept a humbucker without moding(never know with a sqier though)

im just giving people the idea of waht the guitar is. . so people can come up with funky ideas for it. . .

im not looking to just make it a nice guitar. . . i want to make it something weird and crazy. .

well, how about a matching headstock and a competition stripe? they'll both look unusual on a strat... do you want to replace the pickups as well?

put some p-90s in there, dont see that on strats alot

yea p90s are a good idea actually, didnt think of that one... wat about them lipstick pickups like in danelectros too? you could put a p90 and a lipstick in there and it would look unusual

Cool mate. How about getting a GFS prewired guard and let me do the routing? Have you even checked to see if it needs routing..... oh and pics?
