Fende Jaguar HH Classic player's sound

Hi, i hesitate between a mustang with a humbucker and the jaguar HH classic player. Does the jaguar HH sound like a Fender or a Gibson? Is it a good guitar for playing alternative, grunge music ? Thx a lot

I mean are the humbuckers really powerfull like the Nirvana's Bleach sound ? And can we make the same sound of the original fender jaguar ?

Srsly, try one out for yourself. Get to feel the thing and see how it sounds for YOURSELF.

And I get better nirvana sounds out of a 2001 squier stagemaster than I do out of a 1998 jagstang.... even with a JB installed. Because I used to be a complete 'teh kurtz' that wanted to do that. Just go to the store, plug that guitar into the same amp you have and see how it goes. Also, it may be a new amp you want 😉 not a guitar

Well i don't want to look like Kurt... i like both Fender's clean sound and heavy metal sound. And the Jaguar HH seems to be able to play these two kind of sounds, so...

It's not a new amp i want (i have a Stagg guitar help!!! 😁 ). The one i have is a VOX amp and i'm pretty happy with it. Well i'll try thanks 😉

If you want to play Grunge, the Classic HH Jaguar is a good choice.

But there also alot of other choices to chose from, just like mcconnachiea said: ''just go to a store and tryout some guitars you like and see how they sound.'' Maybe you find a guitar that is just as good as the Jaguar, and maybe plays even better!!!!!!!!

Well i want a versatile guitar. Although grunge still my favourite genre, i like other genres as surf, grunge, punk, funk,... and the jaguar hh seems very versatile. But f*ck i live in Brussels and there isn't a #### shop where i can try this jaguar !!! 😠😁

I went to a really awesome guitar shop in Oostende recently. I'm sure I saw a few jags.

Oh yes i've been to this shop (Piens music?) and it's true that there's a lot of choice but i didn't found the jaguar hh. Next time i'll call them to check if there's a jaguar in stock before to go there.

Well, You could almost get the jaguar to sound like a mustang because the rollers on a jag are actually coil spliters so the humbucker can go from a humbucker to a single coil. It's like the best of both worlds.

i have one, and now i am kurt cobain. i nail every sound from every album, its like it makes you teh kurtz. buy one. also, i have one of kurt cobain's original cables and a few of his picks, so that probably helps.

Its probably becuz you hav a fender amp too. I no kurt had a twin, but a 10w practice amp is just teh same

Have you got a DS1? You need it do the nevermind stuff, but u wont be able to play any of in utero without a DS2 and a Polychorus

Okay i've tried the jaguar hh today and i really like it 😀

I've also tried the original jaguar and the seller told me "yes, the original one keeps the 'jaguar's spirit' and the jaguar hh is like others guitars with humbuckers." Also he told me that : "the jaguar hh is made in mexico and the original jaguar is made in japan. In Mexico, it is bad quality". Is the jaguar hh bad quality ?
