I really don't want to sound like one of those vintage snobs. I couldn't afford to be one anyway, and that's partly why I need some advice. A few months ago, I lucked into an original 1965 Mustang for a very reasonable price. Recently I ordered a trem bar and when it arrived it didn't fit. I called and the dealer said, "Oh that's for a reissue, not for an original".
That was the first time it occurred to me that reissue & original Mustang parts might not be interchabgeable.
Today I called a dealer to make sure his "1965 Mustang" bridge cover would fit an orginal Mustang and he said, "I think it will fit." I don't want these parts badly enough to pay big bucks for vintage parts. Does anyone know who to go to for new parts for original Mustangs?
