Holy Crap....my stuff has been through so many incarnations.........let's see how I can list this...
1982 Yamaha G245S-II Classical Guitar
Angelita - First acoustic guitar, classical guitar. Sitting in mom's closet.
1985 Kramer Focus 3000 (Modified to heck now)
Joy/Airplane/Frankenkramer - My old red Kramer guitar, been through a ton of trem tailpieces, and lots of pickups. Was a real lemon at first. Still have it.
1990 Harmony Stratocaster Copy (had an H-804 neck for awhile)
unnamed - Was bought for $10.00 in 9th grade, stripped of it's sunburst paint, and painted turquoise and signed by all my friends at the end of the school year. Later had a plexiglass pickguard made out of a sheet I found on the side of the road near my house, and a vibrato bar made out of a piece of typewriter bar.
1997 Harmony H-804 (made a quasi Strat-SG sort of thing out of it)
Brittney - Bought from classmate for $90. Rebuilt with EMG Select pickups (now in my Kramer) in a Mosrite type config. Later had 2 PAF style chrome pickups put in it. Was later repainted in hammered metal simulation paint and had a 24.75" scale change (from the original 25.5" scale) using a Harmony Les Paul Neck with the heel cut shorter to fit the H-804 body properly.
1998 Homebuilt Van-Halen II styled Jaguar with oversized body
Unnamed - First body I ever made, out of 2 pieces of pine and one piece of pressure treated pine. Was made by drawing lines all over a picture of a Jazzmaster and scaled up by trying to approximate the lines on a large sheet of paper. Somewhat worked but ended up too angular and too big. Body eventually collapsed under strain of trying to turn it into a Bass VI type instrument.
1987 Casio DG-10
Trixie - Lives 3000 miles away in the closet with the classical. Spent $250 having it repaired as I swore I'd never find another one. Want to find the DG-20 version of this guitar for use with MIDI.
1987 ElDegas Classical (never fixed up)
unnamed - given to me by my guitar teacher with a hole in the top (not the soundhole) and bass strings on it. I started rebuilding it into an electrified classical, but I never finished it.
1996 Fender Jag-Stang w/ EMG Pickups
Nikki/First Wife - My beloved Fender Jag-Stang that's so well known around here.
1984 Kramer Striker ST-100
Valerie - Bought stock, the neck eventually went to the home-built Hondo explorer below. It was replaced with the Warmoth neck from the parts mutt Stratocaster (also below), and had the original Strat trem replaced with the Floyd Rose from aforementioned strat. Right now is awaiting yet another rebuild.
2000 "Trashmaster" Jazzmaster Copy made out of a pile of cast-off parts
Grungetta - Body built out of 3 pieces of pressure treated pine that were routed to make a sliding door out of lattice with (before the router hit a knot and burned up the bit). Pressure treated pine plywood construction grade top with finishing nails and glue holding it on. Neck off the black Harmony H-804 (original 25.5" scale neck) refretted with Stew-Mac low-wide fretwire, and a mismatched set of tuners. Had an H-802 pickup in the neck and an Ibanez LA Humbucker in the bridge, and Teisco Del Ray bass wiring. Noteably had the ground wire coming out of a hole in the volume control plate.
???? Parts Mutt Stratocaster (body currently on my main strat)
Unnamed - Bought at a pawn shop for $40.00, had a DiMarzio body (on my current strat), a Warmoth strat neck routed for a floyd locking nut (on the ST-100 now), an original Floyd Rose (currently on my Jagmaster), an EMG SA-1 (back in AL), 2 Fender Custom Shop pickups (sold), a Chandler pickguard (back home too). Parted out to several on this list obviously.
2001 Home-Built Explorer (Hondo Deluxe Series 780 Body)
Kendalin - Body given to me painted James Hetfield white by my guitar teacher, stripped to reveal a nice hippie sandwhich body underneath. Has the Striker ST-100's neck, EMG 60 and H pickups in it, and a Washburn wonderbar.
1998 Squier Affinity Stratocaster
Gladys - Bought off a classmate for $100, blue MOTO pickguard installed. My ex-girlfriend loved this guitar and I eventually gave it to her to learn on, upon which a crackhead "friend" of hers stole it from her. Have not seen it in any stores anywhere ever since.
???? Carlo Robelli Superstrat - Bought from my old vocalist Zach for $50. He wanted to buy it back for $150 before I moved, made a payment, and I gave explicit instructions to mom to answer the door and get the cash when he came around. Alas, she did not, so the guitar is still 3000 miles away, hanging on my old bedroom wall, collecting dust.
2001 Squier Double Fat Telecaster Deluxe
Karen - Given to me for free by Lithium's ex guitar player David for free. Never bonded well with it so I sold it on E-bay before moving to Washington.
1986 Kramer Focus 3000
Merilou - Bought for $150 at a pawn shop with original case in near brand new condition. Used for awhile and then sold to a co-worker for $200.
1984 Arbor Stratocaster Copy (electronics now on my main strat)
unnamed - Red and Black, looked a lot like the Loverboy guitar player's guitar. Was later deconstructed to build the black strat I have now, the pickguard and electronics are now on that guitar. Had exceptionably hot pickups.
2003 First Act Discovery "Kidz Guitar"
Bridget (The Midget) - Little impulse buy for $70 at Wal-Mart one night after a bad evening at work. Originally had an amplifier built in, but I ripped that out and put 2 single coils in it for awhile, now has an SSH config with the Striker's original humbucker inthe bridge.
2001 B.C. Rich Warlock Bronze Series (the blue one)
Maggie - Was originally an ugly glad bag transparent brown color. Given to a lady-friend of mine for a year to learn on while strung lefty. Brought back home and repainted metallic blue earlier this year with the original Jagmaster pickups in it.
1999 Rogue/Harmony H-804 (in pieces right now)
Unnamed - My "Sonic Youth" experiment guitar. I bought this with a warped neck and a missing bridge piece for $25.00 at Hot Lix. Put a BIll LAwrence XL-500 in the bridge for awhile. Right now is awaiting yet another rebuilt, probably in a less as thurstonized condition.
1998 Squier Affinity Stratocaster (missing lots of parts, used for parts)
Unnamed - Bought soley for the purpose of using up parts. Still have the body and pickguard and bridge, the neck is on my main strat. Will be rebuilt eventually with a different neck and probably in a different color.
1987 Vester Concert Series II Superstrat
Unnamed (as of yet) - Bought for $38 to replace Nikki's tuners in a hurry after getting ####ed over by Guitar Center on tuners (gave me the wrong set and would not accept them in return). Had new parts installed this year and is reassembled and working sans rear control cavity cover.
2005 Home Built Red Explorer (in pieces right now)
MTD - Bought the body in a pile of 4 at Hot Lixx. Had a Kramer Focus 6000 neck, Floyd Rose II trem, Peavey Falcon, and DiMarzio Super II humbuckers. Neck joint failed, body is awaiting repairs.
2005 Metallic Red Kramer/Aria XX Homebuild mini-Exploder (given to ex-room mate)
Unnamed - Built out of an Aria XX body, Kramer neck, Vester Pickups, and Ibanez Vibrato, and given to my Ex-Roomie for her birthday. Probably no longer has it.
1998 Fender Jaguar with Seymour Duncan Cool Rail Pickups
Betti - Bought for $645 to sooth my 10 year longing to get a Jaguar. My current backup guitar, used just as much as Nikki is.
2001 Squier Stagemaster-7
Hemingway - Bought for $125 at Pawn Fathers, with lots of scratches and transient paint spills on the body. Rebuilt to good as new condition. Used for covering 80's songs that need that extended low range to pull off certain synthesizer riffs.
2007 Squier Affinity Telecaster Special
Karen II - My favorite Tele. Bought on a whim at Kennaly Keys while mucking about with a Fender G-Dec amp. Originally came in for a Jagmaster, they ordered the one below without my concent, and due to shop rules, had to buy it due to the bastards working there at the time.
2007 Squier Jagmaster
Allison - Aforementioned Jagmaster, bought bone stock, did not stay in tune as well as the one I tried out months before but was forced to buy because it was ordered in. I modified it into an offset shredder with a 70's vibe.
1973 Zenta/Dana Tele Copy
Zenta - Hey if the name works, why not use it. Bought for $50 from Pawn X-Change missing a tuning key with a mixed up set of strings (including one nylon one). Cost $36.00 to fix up, has a unique sound.
2008 First Act Me-537
Unnamed - Bought on a whim at Wal-Mart brand new. Liked the sound but the neck sucked. Pawned Off for bills this year when money got tight.
2008 First Act ME-636
Unnamed - Another Wally World Special, I liked this one better than the 537 though it did not stay in tune as well. Pawned
2008 Fender Jaguar HH
Little Moon - Bought from Kenally Keys, not powerful enough for my taste, and microphonic on high gain without an extensive wax-potting session. Traded for the 1966 Fender Mustang.
1998 Epiphone AJ-8SCE
Unnamed (as of yet) - Bought for $350, American Made by Gibson, Still have and use, is my primary acoustic as of right now.
2003 Lauren Acoustic
Lauren - Another one where the brand just works. Was given to me by bass player with kitty cat stickers all over it. I removed those and made it my experiment acoustic.
1966 Fender Mustang
Stefanie - Bought from Tommy's guitar shop for $1000. Rebuilt in Teal by the shop. Plugged the guitar in and played it once and decided she was coming home with me! Another big fav.
First Act ME-431
Unnamed (as of yet) - sort of a slow moving project of a Jag-Stang/Mosrite hybrid, as that's what the body shape suggests.
2008 Dean ML-X
Unnamed (as of yet) - Bought when Guitar Center double charged my Preferred Player's card and I needed to get the money out for bills. Had 2 plans, one involved buying something I could pawn, this guitar was it, then plan A went through and I was fine and now had a Dean ML, which is fine as I like them.
2009 Mad-Mike/Fender Jazzmaster
Candy-O - Still being built as of right now. Intent is to have a souped up Jazzmaster with 70's looks and powerful yet still very much a Jazzmaster sound.
