color difference between comp blue and the reissue?

I noticed that USA competition blue(or burgundy) and the japanese reissue's colors were kind of different

the original comp blue was more brighter then the reissue.

has anyone compared the color of those two?

or anyone have a picture that shows them both togather?

AFAIK the Fender's Competition Blue paint color is called Lake Placid Blue.

Some of the discoloring happens due to aging of vintage paint. If the guitar finish is new of course it would be shiny and bright.

I can't remember exactly which website I read it. But this color matching issues between "vintage competition blue" and "reissues" was explained in detail.

Maybe if Fender USA reissues a'73 Competition Series" and "Road Worn" Mustangs. You'll see the difference side by side. Then it will then retail for $2,000. It sound like a joke but I can see it happen.

but there's two kinds of LPB; dark candy blue and one that looks like ocean torc blue.

I was asking if the original comp blue color was more brighter than the reissue when it first came out; not the present day vintage worn color. it's my fault for not making the question clear.
