Plays just like an MIJ, which I prefer to American made, in truth. I love it to death...

Considering Strat knobs a la Mexican "black label" basses from the 90s, and also a gold aluminum pickguard...

Still, taking a back seat to building up a decent rig.

Squire made great guitars back in the day (Still do actually). Vista jagmasters and Super-Sonics are hawt these days and the Asian country Squires had a bit of charm to them. Have fun with the rig forming. I'm trying to get a rig together. Jazzy first though 😉 .

Definitely, the most well-built Squiers were Japan, Mexico, and Korea. I got this one at a deal for 129.99 with plush gig bag.

Also, for my rig (bass rig) I'm just thinking like:

bass -> chorus -> tubescreamer (or clone) -> amp with 100+ watts -> speaker

I have a fernandez p bass that's mik aswell. Looks just like that one. Most people scoff at it the moment they see it . But as soon as it's plugged in everyone wants to play it because it sounds and plays sweet. Bought it when I was 15 and my bass teacher was so impressed with it he bought his own.

Nice. This bass is really such a joy to play...

I have this old Sekova guitar strap that's black with a red and white design on the edges and then a really 60s hippy-dippy floral design in yellow, along with a pic tucked neatly into the pickguard. I feel so old school, especially because this is my first P-Bass, despite my years playing.

I don't like the way fuzz and distortion sound. I like having a little dirt, but I like having a lot of attack and definition without having to boost my treble all the way up... Because then it sounds terrible...

And if I DON'T boost my treble, it tends to get really muddy...
