I've been wanting to build something like this using some spare surplus Z-80 and 8088 CPU I have laying around the house. If only I had enough electronics skills to pull something like this off.
Anything that can make my guitar sound like a hacked out Atari console is good to me. Especially since I can find an everyday application for most of these kinds of effects.
