I decided to get a strat size mustang body for my birdeye strat neck, so I called warmoth and told them to cut the neck part of the body to fit a strat neck, and the body itself would be a little bit bigger than the usual mustang body to fit the strat configuration.
I got the body yesterday, and the strat neck fitted perfectly. I quickly installed all the electronics and fixed the dynamic tremolo by tightening it all the way.
I plugged it into my Vox tonelab with a headphone, and it sounded alright, but I noticed that the 12th, 7th, 5th, 3th natural harmonix and picking harmonix were coming from a half step down from where they're suppose to.
I went to a local piano/violin shop(the shop owner does have experience with guitars) and had it checked out, and he said that their was nothing wrong with the installations, but the body itself is configured wrong, so the pitches are not in right place. right now the shop owner has my mustang to figure out how to fix it.
so what would cause the pitches to be half step down? the body was exactly the same length and width as the strat, only that the two horns? are shorter just like the mustang.
