Aluminium is NOT something you want to use for a mustang trem plate.
Those posts are pretty thin and will start to distort the aluminium as soon as you put the strings on. You should really use high carbon steel washers or something. If you do, then yes they will look different, but you could set them in with epoxy and screw them down too and then use some sort of chrome effect paint on them.
Even the stock plates start to deform with use if they're not maintained properly and that means like filing, constant cleaning and lubricant (use vaseline or some sort of musical instrument grease)
Also another tip.... NEVER adjust the tailpiece height while the strings are on because that also grinds up the plate. its the same sort of thing with floyd roses and their action adjustment
